Let the music run the room.

AI-directed audio-reactive lighting for DJs, venues, and anyone with music and lights. Your entire room synchronized to the music. Runs on your hardware, your network, your terms. Just a beat and an AI that thinks like a lighting designer.

Music in. Light out.
AI in between.

Conductør reads your audio 30 times per second, splits it into frequency bands, and drives every light in your room independently. Then an AI director watches the show and evolves it in real time.

01

Audio Analysis

Native system audio capture on every platform: CoreAudio on macOS (with BlackHole for routing), WASAPI loopback on Windows, PipeWire and PulseAudio on Linux. 18 frequency bars are analyzed at 30fps, split into bass, mids, and highs with independent beat detection, automatic gain control, and lull detection per band.

02

Reactive Engine

Each frequency band drives different lights with independent color, brightness, movement, and strobe behavior. Superbeat detection fires full-room white flashes when all bands peak at once. Energy buildups converge the palette; drops break it open.

03

AI Director

Every 15 seconds, the show's state is sent to an AI that thinks like a professional lighting designer. It adjusts color palettes, strobe intensity, movement speed, and decay rates. The show without the director is accurate. The show with the director evolves.

Everything reacts.
Everything syncs.

Professional-grade reactive lighting from a lightweight local engine. No commercial lighting software required.

Per-Band Beat Detection

Independent beat tracking for bass, mids, and highs. Each band triggers its own lights with separate thresholds, decay curves, and color ranges.

Superbeat DetectionPro

When all three frequency bands peak simultaneously, every light in the room fires a synchronized full-white flash. The kind of moment that makes a crowd lose it.

Automatic Gain Control

Adapts dynamically to quiet songs vs. loud ones. A whisper-quiet verse and a wall-of-sound drop both get the full dynamic range of your lights.

Lull Detection

Sustained low energy triggers ambient swaying mode: slow color drifts, gentle movement, pulled-back strobes. The show breathes with the music.

Energy ConvergencePro

During buildups, all lights converge toward a single hue to create tension. When the drop hits, convergence breaks and everything splits into independent color chaos.

DMX + Smart Home

Art-Net/DMX over Ethernet for professional stage fixtures. Govee LAN API for smart home lights. Both running in the same show, from the same script, in perfect sync.

A lighting designer
that never blinks (figuratively).

Lumi is the AI behind the Director — a pearl-white chrome character with a DJ's instincts and a lighting designer's vocabulary. She lives on the dashboard and reacts to the room across 23 emotional states, from chill and contemplative through hype, ecstatic, and unhinged. She doesn't drive individual lights or frames — she shifts palettes, dials strobes, and sets the feel, then lets the reactive engine handle execution. Every 15 seconds she watches the room and decides what's next.

Artistic direction, not frame control

Lumi doesn't control individual lights or individual frames. She controls the feel of the show and lets the reactive engine handle execution. Think of a lighting designer sitting at a console watching the show and making adjustments, except the designer is an AI and the console is a JSON API call.

She sees the whole picture

Average energy per band, beat counts, lull state, whether energy is building toward a drop, and what she decided last time. Every 15 seconds she returns new artistic direction: shift the palette, dial strobes up or down, speed up fixture movement, adjust sensitivity thresholds.

She sets the mood

Each decision picks one of 23 emotions — hype, groove, hypnotic, surgical, defiant, void, warning, others — displayed live on the dashboard alongside a short director's note explaining why she made the change.

HYPE
"Crowd's locked in and the bass is doing the work. Pushing strobes harder, warming the bass palette toward orange so the next drop hits like a furnace door opening."

Early Access — help us ship this right.

Conductør is alpha software. It runs well on our rigs, but yours will almost certainly surprise us somehow. We'd love your eyes on it — please report bugs and feature requests straight from the Help tab inside the app.

  • Please don't use Conductør for paid professional gigs yet. Alpha means no stability guarantees — if you'd be embarrassed by a hiccup in front of a paying crowd, wait for the 1.0 release.
  • Paid tiers are open, but we're charging early-adopter prices on purpose. If something breaks badly, we want you mad enough to email us — not so out-of-pocket that you feel ripped off.
  • Find a real bug and we'll credit you by name in the app as a supporter — only if you want your name up there.
